Graduation is Thursday, May 30 at 6pm at Wells Fargo Arena at ASU.
Project Grad will follow from 9pm-1am at Octane Raceway. Project Grad is the all- night, drug-free, alcohol-free, tobacco-free graduation party sponsored by CHAPTS. There is food, a DJ, fortune tellers, over 90 raffle prizes, henna tattoos, a selfie station, bingo, arcade games, car racing, a virtual realty room, candlestick bowling, casino games and so much more!
Date: Thursday, May 30, 2019
Time: Immediately following the graduation ceremony – at approximately 8:30 p.m. buses will transport graduates from Wells Fargo Arena to Octane Raceway. Buses will return to Chaparral High School at approximately 1:15 am on Friday, May 31st.
Place: Octane Raceway, The Pavillions at Talking Stick, Scottsdale
Attire: Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Parents need to bring clothes for their graduate to change into to Wells Fargo in a clear bag as per ASU’s Clear Bag Policy Each person is allowed to bring in 2 clear bags. Grads will meet their parents after the ceremony and change clothes. Grads will then send their ceremony attire and diploma home with parents — any items brought to Octane must fit in the fanny pack that will be provided.
- $100 – for registrations received by May 15th at 10:00 pm
- $150 – for registrations received between May 16th – May 29th
NO same day registrations will be accepted. Scholarships are available
This registration payment covers all activities including: bus transportation to and from the event, food, drinks, Octane Raceway racing, games, and incredible raffle prizes.
Grads will not need any money at the event.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Our goal is to have 100% student participation at the Project Grad event! Keeping our graduates safe on their special night is our top priority! If financial concerns prevent participation, please contact Michelle Carr or your child’s counselor to discuss financial assistance.

Students will complete the student portion, parents will complete the parent portion, and both students and parents will need to complete the Octane waiver. Upon completion of all three parts, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete your transaction using a credit card or PayPal account.
PLEASE consider making an additional donation to help cover additional costs such as security, transportation and scholarships for those who would otherwise not be able to attend. Any amount is appreciated.
Please note that a separate registration and payment is required for each participant.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We need parents of all grade levels. Parents of seniors, it’s a fun way to celebrate graduation with your student! Come to our last Project Grad meeting at 5:30pm in J600 on Monday, May 13, 2019.
